Soft Korean rice cakes coated in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. An addictive and delicious street food snack.

Ingredients
- 300 g Rice cakes (tteok)
- 40 g Gochujang (red chili paste)
- 20 g Sugar
- 15 ml Soy sauce
- 2 tsp Minced garlic
- 250 ml Water
- 20 g Chives
- 10 g White sesame seeds
- 15 ml Vegetable oil
- 5 g Red chili flakes
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the sauce by mixing gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and water in a bowl.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the rice cakes and cook for 3-4 minutes until they float to the surface. Drain.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the drained rice cakes to the sauce. Stir well for 3-4 minutes until they are thoroughly coated.
Step 5
Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped chives, white sesame seeds, and red chili flakes. Serve hot.
