Pepper Soup
A spicy Nigerian soup made with beef, chili peppers and spices, served hot and comforting. A savory and warming first course.

Ingredients
- 400 g Ground beef
- 2 piece Onion
- 3 piece Fresh red chili pepper
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1.5 cm Fresh ginger
- 4 clove Garlic
- 200 g Mushrooms
- au goût Salt and pepper
- 1 l Beef broth
- 2 tbsp Peanut oil
- 1 sprig Fresh thyme
- 1 piece Bay leaf
Instructions
Step 1
Blend onions, red chili peppers, ginger and garlic.
Step 2
Heat the oil and brown the ground beef.
Step 3
Add the onion-chili mixture, cook for 3 minutes.
Step 4
Pour in the broth, add mushrooms, thyme and bay leaf.
Step 5
Simmer for 25 minutes, season with chili powder.
Step 6
Serve hot in bowls.
