Hummus bi Tahini
A smooth and creamy Lebanese chickpea puree with tahini, fresh lemon juice and garlic. Perfect as an appetizer or snack served with pita bread.

Ingredients
- 400 g Cooked chickpeas
- 100 g Tahini
- 3 piece Fresh lemon
- 3 clove Garlic
- 100 ml Warm water
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Paprika
- 10 g Fresh parsley
- 6 piece Pita bread
Instructions
Step 1
Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Squeeze the lemons to get 120 ml of juice.
Step 2
Blend the chickpeas with garlic, tahini and lemon juice until you get a smooth paste.
Step 3
Gradually add the warm water while blending to achieve a creamy, light texture.
Step 4
Add salt and blend briefly. Transfer to a shallow serving dish.
Step 5
Make a well in the center of the hummus and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley.
Step 6
Serve at room temperature with toasted pita bread.
