A fresh Lebanese salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and crispy pita bread croutons, dressed with sumac and fresh lemon juice.
Ingredients
- 1 piece Romaine lettuce
- 200 g Cherry tomatoes
- 1 piece Cucumber
- 4 pieces Radishes
- 0.5 piece Red onions
- 1 bunch Flat-leaf parsley
- 15 leaves Fresh mint
- 2 pieces White pita bread
- 60 ml Fresh lemon juice
- 5 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp Sumac
- 1 clove Garlic
- au gout pinch Salt and black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the pita bread into cubes and toast in the oven at 180°C for 8 minutes until crispy. Set aside.
Step 2
Wash and dry the lettuce. Tear it into pieces in a large salad bowl.
Step 3
Halve the tomatoes, slice the cucumber, grate the radishes, and mince the red onion.
Step 4
Add all the vegetables to the salad bowl with the chopped parsley and mint.
Step 5
Prepare the dressing: whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, sumac, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper.
Step 6
Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving, add the croutons, and toss gently.
