Doro Wot
A spicy Ethiopian beef stew made with tomatoes, berbere spice and onions. Traditionally served with injera bread.

Ingredients
- 600 g Beef chuck
- 3 piece Onions
- 400 g Canned tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Berbere spice
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger
- 4 clove Garlic
- 1 cup Water
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 300 g White rice
Instructions
Step 1
Cut beef into 3cm cubes. Slice the onions.
Step 2
Sauté onions in oil for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Step 3
Add beef and sear for 5 minutes on each side.
Step 4
Add berbere spice, ginger and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Pour in tomatoes and water. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Season to taste and serve with white rice.
