Chapli Kebab
Spiced Pakistani patties made with ground beef, potatoes, and fresh herbs, pan-fried until golden brown and served with mint sauce.
Ingredients
- 600 g Ground beef
- 300 g Potato
- 2 piece Onion
- 4 clove Garlic
- 2 cm Fresh ginger
- 2 piece Green chili
- 20 g Fresh cilantro
- 15 g Fresh mint
- 1 piece Egg
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 150 g Plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
Instructions
Step 1
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then mash into a puree.
Step 2
Finely chop onions, garlic, ginger, green chilies, cilantro, and mint.
Step 3
Mix the ground beef, potato puree, and chopped herbs.
Step 4
Fold in the beaten egg and spices (cumin, coriander, pepper).
Step 5
Form 8 flat, even patties with damp hands.
Step 6
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 7
Pan-fry the patties 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Step 8
Make the mint sauce: mix yogurt, lemon juice, and fresh chopped mint.
Step 9
Serve hot kebabs with mint sauce on the side.
