A smooth Iranian dessert made with red lentils slowly cooked with rice, milk, sugar and cardamom, topped with pistachios.

Ingredients
- 100 g Basmati rice
- 750 ml Whole milk
- 200 g Sweetened condensed milk
- 5 piece Cardamom
- 0.25 g Saffron
- 50 g Pistachio
- 30 g Almond
- 2 tbsp Rose water
- 20 g Butter
- 0.25 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Toast the rice dry in a saucepan for 2 minutes, add butter
Step 2
Pour in the milk, add cardamom and saffron, bring to a boil
Step 3
Reduce heat and simmer for 35 minutes, stirring regularly
Step 4
Add condensed milk and rose water, cook for 5 minutes
Step 5
Pour into bowls, garnish with pistachios, toasted almonds and cinnamon
