Gado-Gado
A colorful salad of cooked and raw vegetables topped with a rich and savory peanut sauce. A popular appetizer or light main course in Indonesia.

Ingredients
- 150 g roasted peanuts
- 250 g white cabbage
- 150 g fresh bean sprouts
- 1 piece cucumber
- 2 piece carrot
- 200 g sweet potato
- 2 piece hard boiled eggs
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 piece red chili
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the sweet potato in salted boiling water for 8 minutes, drain and cut into sticks.
Step 2
Thinly slice the white cabbage and place in a salad bowl.
Step 3
Make the sauce by blending the peanuts, garlic, chili with 150ml water, lemon juice, soy sauce and sugar.
Step 4
Add the bean sprouts, cucumber cut into sticks and grated carrot to the salad bowl.
Step 5
Arrange all the vegetables and sweet potato, coat with peanut sauce and garnish with hard boiled eggs cut into wedges.
