Caldo Verde
Traditional Portuguese soup made with kale, potatoes and chorizo. Comforting and simple, perfect as a main course.

Ingredients
- 300 g Kale
- 400 g Potatoes
- 150 g Smoked chorizo
- 1 piece Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 l Vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp Virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and cut the potatoes into 1 cm cubes.
Step 2
Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the broth and add potatoes, let cook for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Slice the kale thinly and add it to the broth.
Step 5
Slice the chorizo into rounds and add to the soup.
Step 6
Let cook for an additional 3 minutes and season to taste.
