Cook the shell pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.

Melt the butter in a pot and add the flour to make a roux.

Gradually add the water while stirring to make a béchamel sauce. Let it thicken for 3 minutes.

Cut the ham into small pieces and add it to the béchamel with 100g of Gruyère.
