Feijoada à Brasileira
A traditional Brazilian stew of black beans simmered with pork and beef, served with rice and farofa.

Ingredients
- 500 g Dried black beans
- 400 g Pork ribs
- 300 g Braising beef
- 200 g Brazilian sausage
- 3 piece Onion
- 4 clove Garlic
- 2 piece Tomato
- 2 piece Bay leaf
- 300 g White rice
- 150 g Cassava flour (farofa)
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1500 ml Vegetable broth
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Soak the black beans overnight, then drain.
Step 2
Cut the meat into medium-sized pieces.
Step 3
Brown the meats in a Dutch oven with a little butter.
Step 4
Add the onion and garlic, sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Pour in the beans, tomatoes, broth, and bay leaves.
Step 6
Simmer covered over low heat for 75 minutes.
Step 7
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 8
Cook the rice separately. Serve with the feijoada and farofa.
