Arepa de Queso
Traditional Colombian corn cake filled with melted cheese and topped with a fried egg. A savory and authentic snack.

Ingredients
- 250 g Precooked cornmeal
- 300 ml Warm water
- 200 g Fresh white cheese
- 4 pieces Eggs
- 5 g Salt
- 80 ml Vegetable oil
Instructions
Step 1
Mix cornmeal, water, and salt until a uniform dough forms.
Step 2
Let dough rest for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Form 4 dough discs and place cheese in the center of each.
Step 4
Heat oil and cook arepas 4-5 minutes per side.
Step 5
Fry eggs in the same oil.
Step 6
Top each arepa with an egg and serve hot.
