A traditional Nigerian savory custard made from chickpea puree, eggs, and spices, wrapped in banana leaves and steamed.

Ingredients
- 400 g Canned chickpeas
- 4 piece Eggs
- 100 g Onion
- 1 piece Red chili
- 2 clove Garlic
- 10 g Fresh ginger
- 30 ml Peanut oil
- 150 ml Vegetable broth
- 4 piece Banana leaves
- 5 g Salt
- 2 g Cayenne pepper
- 100 ml Milk
Instructions
Step 1
Drain and blend the chickpeas with onion, chili, garlic, and ginger.
Step 2
Add the eggs, oil, milk, and broth to the mixture.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into the banana leaves.
Step 4
Steam for 35 minutes in a pot.
Step 5
Carefully unmold and serve hot.
