A spiced rice roll wrapped in fried puff pastry, an authentic Sri Lankan specialty. A golden, crispy snack with a flavorful heart of rice and meat.

Ingredients
- 250 g Basmati Rice
- 200 g Ground Beef
- 400 g Puff Pastry
- 2 piece Onions
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 piece Green Chili
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 15 g Fresh Cilantro
- 2 tsp Curry Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 4 tbsp Peanut Oil
- à volonté Salt and Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the basmati rice until tender, let cool
Step 2
Sauté minced onions and garlic in oil
Step 3
Add the ground beef and cook until browned
Step 4
Season with curry powder, turmeric, soy sauce, chili and cilantro
Step 5
Mix the cooked meat with the cooled rice
Step 6
Roll out the puff pastry and form rolls with the rice-meat mixture
Step 7
Fry the wrapped rolls in hot oil until golden
