Iskender Kebab
A succulent Turkish kebab with marinated and grilled lamb meat, served on pita bread with spicy tomato sauce and fresh yogurt.

Ingredients
- 350 g Lamb strips
- 2 piece Pita bread
- 200 g Plain yogurt
- 3 piece Tomato
- 1 piece Red onion
- 3 clove Garlic
- 1 piece Fresh red chili
- 1 bunch Fresh parsley
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 0.5 tsp Ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Butter
Instructions
Step 1
Marinate the lamb for 10 minutes with lemon juice, paprika, cumin, pepper, and minced garlic.
Step 2
Prepare the tomato sauce: crush the tomatoes, add the minced chili and half of the parsley.
Step 3
Grill the lamb over high heat in a pan or on a grill for 8-10 minutes until well browned.
Step 4
Warm the pita breads for 2 minutes in the oven or pan with a little butter.
Step 5
Assemble the kebabs: place the lamb on the pita bread, cover with tomato sauce and yogurt, and garnish with fresh red onion and parsley.
