A crispy Pakistani phyllo pastry triangle filled with spiced red lentils and potatoes, crunchy on the outside and tender inside.

Ingredients
- 12 sheet Phyllo pastry sheet
- 150 g Red lentils
- 300 g Potatoes
- 2 piece Yellow onions
- 1 piece Green chili peppers
- 10 g Fresh cilantro
- 5 g Fresh mint
- 0.5 tsp Ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp Ground coriander
- 0.5 tsp Garam masala
- 10 g Fresh ginger
- 2 clove Garlic
- 500 ml Sunflower oil
- 0.5 tsp Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the red lentils for 15 minutes, drain
Step 2
Cook peeled potatoes cut into small cubes, let cool
Step 3
Sauté minced onions, garlic, and ginger in a pan
Step 4
Add cumin, coriander, garam masala, then lentils and potatoes
Step 5
Mix in chopped fresh chili peppers, cilantro, and mint, salt to taste
Step 6
Fill phyllo sheets with the mixture, fold into triangles, seal with water
Step 7
Deep fry in hot oil (180°C) until golden brown, drain on paper towels
