Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Mince the garlic. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, tamarind/lime juice, sugar and a little water.

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet. Cook shrimp for 3 minutes and set aside.
