Cook the white rice for 18 minutes in salted boiling water. Cook the red lentils for 12 minutes. Drain the chickpeas.

Thinly slice 2 onions and fry in oil until caramelized. Set aside.

Prepare the sauce: sauté the remaining onion, garlic and ginger in oil.
