Mediterranean Wraps with Homemade Falafels
Crispy falafels prepared quickly with basic ingredients, served in wraps with tahini sauce. A delicious and filling meal inspired by the Middle East.
Ingredients
- 400 g Canned chickpeas
- 60 g Flour
- 1 piece Onion
- 2 clove Garlic
- 500 ml Oil for frying
- 4 piece Wraps or flatbreads
- 3 tbsp Tahini
- 1 piece Lemon
- à volonté Salt
- à volonté Pepper
- 3 tbsp Water
Instructions
Step 1
Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then place them in a food processor.
Step 2
Chop the onion and garlic and add them to the chickpeas.
Step 3
Blend until you have a grainy paste, add the flour, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 170°C (a piece of bread should brown in 1 minute).
Step 5
Form small walnut-sized balls from the mixture and deep fry in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden.
Step 6
Mix the tahini with lemon juice and a little water to make a fluid sauce.
Step 7
Warm the wraps and fill with falafels, tahini sauce, olives and lettuce if available.
