Sesame-Marinated Tofu Tataki with Edamame
Firm tofu marinated in soy sauce and ginger, quickly seared and served with edamame and crisp vegetables. A plant-based protein-rich Japanese dish.

Ingredients
- 300 g firm tofu
- 100 g shelled edamame
- 1 piece cucumber
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 10 g fresh ginger
- 15 g sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
Step 1
Drain the tofu and cut into 1 cm slices. Grate the ginger and mix with soy sauce and sesame oil to make the marinade.
Step 2
Marinate the tofu in the sauce for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the cucumber into thin rounds.
Step 3
Sear the tofu in a very hot pan for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Step 4
Arrange the sliced tofu, cucumber, and edamame. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle with remaining marinade.
