Apple Tatin with Shortcrust Pastry Base

Ingredients
- 800 g Apples
- 100 g Sugar
- 60 g Butter
- 250 g Shortcrust pastry
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Peel, core, and cut the apples into quarters.
Step 3
Make a caramel by putting the sugar and butter in an oven-safe mold. Add the apples and toss.
Step 4
Cook the apples in the skillet for 5 minutes until they begin to brown.
Step 5
Lay the shortcrust pastry over the apples and tuck the edges in lightly. Bake for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Let cool for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
