Shiitake Mushroom Tartare with Sesame and Avocado
Finely chopped shiitake mushrooms marinated in tamari and sesame oil, served over creamy avocado and topped with toasted sesame seeds. An umami-rich and protein-packed Japanese tartare.

Ingredients
- 300 g shiitake mushrooms
- 1 piece avocado
- 2 tbsp tamari
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 15 g sesame seeds
- 1 piece cucumber
- 10 g fresh ginger
Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop the shiitake mushrooms with a knife. Grate the fresh ginger.
Step 2
Mix the mushrooms with the tamari, sesame oil and ginger. Let marinate for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Dice the avocado and cube the cucumber. Arrange the tartare in a circle, top with toasted sesame seeds.
