Pulled Pork Carnitas Tacos
Slowly braised pork shoulder with Mexican spices, shredded and served in tacos with fresh onion and cilantro.

Ingredients
- 700 g Pork shoulder
- 12 piece Corn tortillas
- 2 piece White onion
- 4 clove Garlic
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 piece Dried chipotle pepper
- 2 tbsp Lime juice
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 300 ml Chicken broth
- 25 g Fresh cilantro
- 7 g Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the meat into 4 cm cubes, salt and pepper.
Step 2
Brown the meat in hot oil for 8 minutes. Set aside.
Step 3
Mince the onion and garlic, sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add cumin, oregano, paprika and chipotle pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Step 5
Return the meat, add lime juice and broth. Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Shred the meat with two forks until it reaches a fluffy texture.
Step 7
Warm the tortillas, fill with pulled pork, diced white onion and fresh cilantro. Serve with lime.
