Suya (Nigerian Spiced Beef Skewers)
An appetizing Nigerian snack featuring beef marinated in a fiery peanut and spice blend, grilled on skewers. Perfect as an appetizer.

Ingredients
- 600 g Lean beef steak
- 100 g Roasted peanuts
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 3 tbsp Peanut oil
- 1 piece Lemon
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the beef into regular strips about 2 cm thick.
Step 2
Grind or blend the peanuts until coarsely ground.
Step 3
Mix the peanut powder with the spices (cayenne, ginger, garlic, onion, turmeric, paprika) and salt.
Step 4
Coat the beef strips with peanut oil, then press into the spice mixture.
Step 5
Thread the strips onto pre-soaked bamboo skewers.
Step 6
Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side over high heat. Serve with lemon.
