Comforting Vegetable Soup with Toasted Bread
A warm and comforting soup made with potatoes and carrots, served with Gruyère cheese toasted bread.

Ingredients
- 400 g Potato
- 250 g Carrot
- 4 slice Bread
- 80 g Grated Gruyère
- 20 g Butter
- 1 l Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and cut the potatoes and carrots into cubes.
Step 2
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add the vegetables.
Step 3
Let cook for 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 4
Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Toast the bread slices in the oven, butter them, and sprinkle with Gruyère.
Step 6
Serve the hot soup with the cheese bread on the side.
