Country Vegetable Soup with Carrots and Potatoes
A traditional French vegetable soup that's warm and comforting, made with simple ingredients from your pantry. Perfect for cold evenings.

Ingredients
- 400 g Carrots
- 300 g Potatoes
- 1 L Water
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and slice the carrots into rounds.
Step 2
Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a pot.
Step 4
Add the vegetables and sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Cover with water and bring to a boil.
Step 6
Simmer for 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 7
Partially blend or leave whole depending on preference, season to taste and serve.
