Onion and Toasted Flour Soup

Ingredients
- 4 piece onions
- 30 g flour
- 30 g butter
- 1 l water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and thinly slice the onions.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a heavy pot and add the sliced onions. Cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring regularly, until deeply caramelized.
Step 3
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well. Cook for 2 minutes to toast the flour.
Step 4
Gradually pour in the water while stirring to avoid lumps. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Simmer for 10 minutes, then serve hot.
