Red Lentil Soup with Cumin and Spinach
A creamy red lentil soup infused with cumin and turmeric, topped with fresh spinach and a squeeze of lemon. Nourishing and comforting with Lebanese flavors.

Ingredients
- 120 g Red lentils
- 150 g Fresh spinach
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric
- 1 piece Lemon
Instructions
Step 1
Slice the onion and rinse the red lentils under cold water.
Step 2
Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion. Add the cumin and turmeric, cook for 1 minute.
Step 3
Add the lentils and 700 ml of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes until the lentils are tender.
Step 4
Add the spinach, cook for 2 minutes. Blend if desired. Serve with a drizzle of lemon juice.
