French Onion and Gruyère Soup
A warm French soup featuring crispy bread and melted cheese. Perfect for winter evenings.

Ingredients
- 2 slices Sandwich bread
- 80 g Grated Gruyère
- 500 ml Water
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 10 ml Olive oil
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the water and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Cut the bread into cubes and brown them in a pan with olive oil.
Step 4
Pour the soup into bowls, add the croutons and sprinkle with Gruyère.
Step 5
Place under the broiler for a few seconds until the cheese melts slightly.
