South African Sosaties
South African beef skewers marinated in a spiced mixture with apricots, served with yellow rice.

Ingredients
- 800 g Beef tenderloin
- 150 g Dried apricots
- 2 piece Onion
- 2 tbsp Curry powder
- 3 clove Garlic
- 3 tbsp Wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 250 g White rice
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the beef tenderloin into approximately 3cm cubes and the onion into large pieces.
Step 2
Prepare the marinade with curry, crushed garlic, vinegar, oil, honey, salt and pepper.
Step 3
Marinate the meat and onion for 15 minutes (or longer if possible).
Step 4
Thread the beef cubes, onion and apricots onto skewers, alternating pieces.
Step 5
Cook the white rice with turmeric during this time.
Step 6
Grill the sosaties for 12-15 minutes, turning regularly.
Step 7
Serve the sosaties over yellow rice.
