Shrimp Smørrebrød
An open-faced Danish sandwich with Nordic shrimp, arugula, egg, and mayonnaise. A classic and convivial Scandinavian lunch.

Ingredients
- 4 slice whole grain rye bread
- 150 g Nordic shrimp
- 80 g Arugula
- 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 piece Eggs
- 100 g Cooked beet
- 1/2 piece Lemon
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 5 g Fresh dill
- 1 tbsp Capers
Instructions
Step 1
Hard boil the eggs for 8 minutes, then cool and slice thinly.
Step 2
Generously spread mayonnaise on the rye bread.
Step 3
Arrange arugula on each slice.
Step 4
Distribute the Nordic shrimp and egg slices.
Step 5
Add grated beet, capers, dill, and lemon juice.
Step 6
Season lightly and serve immediately.
