Japanese Teriyaki Squid Stir-Fry with Vegetables
Squid seared in a wok and coated with homemade teriyaki sauce alongside broccoli and mushrooms. Intensely umami-rich for an express Japanese dinner.

Ingredients
- 350 g cleaned squid
- 200 g broccoli
- 150 g button mushrooms
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the squid into rings. Cut the broccoli into florets and slice the mushrooms.
Step 2
Heat the sesame oil in the wok. Sear the squid for 2 minutes over high heat, then add the vegetables and stir-fry for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the soy sauce and mirin, stir for 1 minute. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
