Thai Grilled Beef Salad with Cucumber and Mint
A fresh and spicy salad inspired by Thai yam neua: thin slices of grilled beef over crispy cucumber, red onion and mint, topped with a zesty lime and chili vinaigrette.

Ingredients
- 300 g beef flank steak
- 1 piece cucumber
- 1 piece red onion
- 1 bunch fresh mint
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 piece red chili
Instructions
Step 1
Sear the beef flank steak in a very hot pan for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let rest for 5 minutes then slice thinly.
Step 2
Slice the cucumber into half-rounds, finely mince the red onion and chili.
Step 3
Prepare the vinaigrette by mixing the lime juice and fish sauce together.
Step 4
Arrange the vegetables in a salad bowl, add the beef slices, drizzle with vinaigrette and sprinkle with mint leaves.
