Pan-Seared Scallops Japanese Style with Edamame and Shiitake
Caramelized scallops glazed with miso and soy sauce, served alongside golden shiitake mushrooms and edamame. Intense umami flavor in minutes.

Ingredients
- 250 g Scallops
- 120 g Shelled edamame
- 150 g Shiitake mushrooms
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp White miso
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
Instructions
Step 1
Thinly slice the shiitake. Dissolve the miso in the soy sauce with 1 tbsp of warm water.
Step 2
Heat sesame oil in a large pan over high heat. Sear scallops for 2 minutes on each side. Set aside.
Step 3
Stir-fry the shiitake in the same pan for 3 minutes, then add edamame and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Return scallops to the pan, pour in the miso-soy sauce, toss for 30 seconds, and serve.
