Herb-Roasted Chicken with Shell Pasta Gratin
Golden chicken thighs with herbs served alongside a creamy cheese-topped pasta gratin. A simple, classic French comfort dish.

Ingredients
- 400 g Chicken thighs
- 200 g Shell pasta
- 80 g Grated Gruyère
- 50 g Butter
- 20 g Flour
- 2 sprigs Fresh thyme
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 200 ml Crème fraîche
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 2 tbsp Oil
Instructions
Step 1
Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Brown them in a pan with oil for 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
Add the thyme and crushed garlic, then bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water and drain.
Step 4
Make a roux with butter and flour, then stir in the crème fraîche to create a sauce.
Step 5
Mix the pasta with the sauce, transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with Gruyère, and bake until golden, about 5 minutes.
