Roasted Chicken with Carrots and Potatoes
A classic French comfort dish: golden roasted chicken with caramelized root vegetables. Ready in under an hour for a family meal.

Ingredients
- 1 piece Whole chicken
- 4 pieces Carrots
- 5 pieces Potatoes
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 200 ml Water
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the carrots into batons and potatoes into wedges.
Step 2
Place the chicken in the center of a baking dish, surround with vegetables. Drizzle with oil, season generously with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Pour a little water into the bottom of the dish and bake for 45 minutes until the chicken is golden brown.
Step 4
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
