Chicken Curry and Basmati Rice
Chicken thighs braised in a creamy curry sauce with basmati rice. A delicious and hearty Indian dish, ready in 40 minutes.

Ingredients
- 2 piece Chicken thighs
- 150 g Basmati rice
- 1.5 tsp Curry powder
- 1 piece Onion
- 150 ml Sour cream
- 400 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the basmati rice and cook in salted boiling water for 15-18 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a Dutch oven and brown the chicken thighs 3 minutes per side.
Step 3
Remove the chicken and sauté the chopped onion for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Dust with curry powder, stir, and cook for 1 minute.
Step 5
Pour in the water and return the chicken, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Add the sour cream, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 more minutes.
Step 7
Serve the chicken curry over a bed of basmati rice.
