Cuban Picadillo
Ground beef sautéed with onions, garlic, tomato, raisins, and capers. Savory and sweet, best served with white rice and fried plantain.

Ingredients
- 500 g Ground beef
- 1.5 piece White onion
- 3 clove Garlic
- 250 g Canned tomato
- 50 g Raisins
- 30 g Capers
- 2 piece Plantain
- 200 g White rice
- 25 ml Olive oil
- 3 g Cumin
- 2 g Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Finely mince the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Pour in the tomato, raisins, and capers.
Step 5
Season with cumin and pepper, and simmer for 8 minutes.
Step 6
Fry the plantain and prepare the white rice.
Step 7
Serve the picadillo over rice with fried plantain.
