Cuban Picadillo
Ground beef simmered with tomatoes, raisins, carrots, and Cuban spices, served over white rice with a fried egg—a classic comforting dish.

Ingredients
- 500 g Ground beef
- 400 g Canned tomatoes
- 2 piece Carrots
- 1 piece Yellow onions
- 3 clove Garlic
- 60 g Raisins
- 1 piece Red bell peppers
- 5 g Cumin
- 3 g Dried oregano
- 250 g White rice
- 2 piece Eggs
- 40 ml Olive oil
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the white rice in salted water.
Step 2
Brown the ground beef in oil.
Step 3
Add onions, garlic, carrots, and bell peppers, sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 4
Add tomatoes, raisins, and spices, and simmer for 12 minutes.
Step 5
Fry the eggs in a pan.
Step 6
Serve the picadillo over rice with a fried egg per portion.
