Penne with Butter and Pepper
A minimalist recipe inspired by the classic Roman Cacio e Pepe. Al dente penne coated with butter and freshly cracked black pepper.

Ingredients
- 200 g Penne
- 30 g Butter
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 l Water
Instructions
Step 1
Fill a saucepan with water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Add the penne and cook according to package directions.
Step 3
Reserve a glass of pasta cooking water and drain the pasta.
Step 4
In the hot saucepan, melt the butter and grind plenty of fresh black pepper.
Step 5
Add the cooked penne and a little pasta cooking water, stirring well to create a smooth sauce.
