Penne with Tomato and Onion
Quick homemade tomato sauce with sweet onions: al dente penne coated in a simple, comforting sauce. A timeless classic.

Ingredients
- 250 g Penne
- 400 g Canned peeled tomatoes
- 1 piece Onion
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 L Water
- à volonté pinch Salt
- à volonté pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Finely mince the onion.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the onion for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
Step 3
Add the peeled tomatoes and simmer covered for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Boil salted water in a pot and cook the penne al dente (approximately 11 minutes).
Step 5
Drain the pasta and pour into the sauce. Mix well and serve.
