Penne with Tomato Sauce and Arugula
Generous pasta served with homemade tomato sauce and fresh arugula. A simple yet gourmet Mediterranean classic.

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 400 g Crushed tomatoes
- 80 g Arugula
- 80 g Gruyère
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 L Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 0.5 tsp Sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil for the pasta.
Step 2
Add the penne to boiling water and cook for 12 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a pan.
Step 4
Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5
Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce.
Step 6
Add the fresh arugula and grated Gruyère just before serving.
