Penne with Carrot and Gruyère Sauce
A simple and comforting pasta bake with a creamy sauce of grated carrots and melted cheese. Ready in under 30 minutes for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 3 piece Carrots
- 150 g Gruyère
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 2 l Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil in the pot and cook the penne according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, finely grate the carrots by hand or with a food processor.
Step 3
Melt the butter in the pan, add the grated carrots and cook for 4 minutes, stirring.
Step 4
Drain the pasta and mix directly into the pan with the carrots. Add the grated Gruyère and stir until melted. Season to taste.
Step 5
Serve immediately onto plates.
