Homemade Penne Carbonara
A simplified carbonara with ham, Gruyère and eggs. Creamy and savory, it's an Italian classic that everyone loves.

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 200 g Ham
- 100 g Gruyère
- 3 pieces Eggs
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to the package (about 11 minutes).
Step 2
Cut the ham into small dice and finely grate the Gruyère.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs with the grated Gruyère, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Sauté the ham in oil in the skillet for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Drain the penne and add to the skillet with the ham.
Step 6
Remove from heat and quickly stir in the egg-Gruyère mixture. The residual heat cooks the eggs without scrambling them.
