Simplified Pasta Carbonara
A quick and comforting Italian classic with ham, parmesan and gruyere. A creamy sauce without cream for an everyday authentic carbonara.

Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta
- 200 g Ham
- 100 g Parmesan
- 50 g Gruyere
- 3 pieces Eggs
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil in a pot and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cut the ham into small cubes and grate the parmesan and gruyere.
Step 3
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the grated cheese, salt and pepper.
Step 4
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the ham for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the ham. Remove from heat and quickly pour in the egg mixture while stirring.
Step 6
Serve immediately with freshly cracked pepper.
