Quick Carbonara-Style Pasta with Ham and Cheese
A simplified take on the famous Italian carbonara using ham and Gruyère cheese. Creamy and delicious in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 200 g Pasta
- 100 g Ham
- 80 g Gruyère
- 2 piece Eggs
- 3 tbsp Sour cream
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cut the ham into thin strips and grate the Gruyère.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sour cream, Gruyère and pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta, reserving a glass of cooking water.
Step 5
Pour the hot pasta into the egg-cream mixture and stir quickly. Add the ham and 2-3 tablespoons of cooking water to thin the sauce.
