Everyday Carbonara Pasta
A simplified and flavorful carbonara using ham instead of pancetta, Parmesan, and butter. Italian elegance in 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta
- 150 g Ham
- 100 g Grated Parmesan
- 3 piece Egg
- 30 g Butter
- 2 l Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil in the saucepan and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the ham and sauté it for 2 minutes in the pan with butter.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta, reserving a glass of cooking water.
Step 5
Pour the pasta into the pan with the ham (heat off), add the egg-Parmesan mixture, and stir well, adding a little cooking water if needed.
