Pasta with Lentils, Carrots, and Tomatoes
An Italian-inspired, hearty and flavorful recipe. Lentils replace the meat for a plant-based bolognese sauce.

Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 250 g Cooked red lentils
- 2 pieces Carrots
- 1 stalk Celery
- 400 g Tomato sauce
- 1.5 l Water
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and finely chop the carrots, celery, and garlic.
Step 2
Sauté the garlic, carrots, and celery in oil in a pan for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the cooked lentils and tomato sauce, let simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling water according to package instructions.
Step 5
Drain the pasta and mix with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
