Pasta with Tomato and Mushroom Sauce
A comforting Italian classic featuring pasta with homemade tomato sauce and sautéed mushrooms. Garlic, onion, and herbs really bring out the best in this dish.

Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 400 g Canned tomatoes
- 250 g Mushrooms
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 medium Onion
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Herbes de Provence
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the pasta and cook according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, mince the garlic and onion finely. Slice the mushrooms.
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in a pan, add garlic and onion, and sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the mushrooms, cook for 3 minutes, then pour in the tomatoes. Add the herbs, season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Let the sauce simmer for 8 minutes. Drain the pasta and toss it with the sauce.
