Pasta with Lentil-Tomato Sauce (Italian Style)
A hearty pasta dish with a rich lentil and tomato sauce. Perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients
- 150 g Green lentils
- 400 g Crushed tomatoes
- 1 piece Carrots
- 1 stalk Celery
- 350 g Pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 400 ml Water
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop the carrots, celery, and garlic
Step 2
Cook the lentils in water for 15 minutes
Step 3
Meanwhile, sauté the carrots, celery, and garlic in olive oil in a pan
Step 4
Add the crushed tomatoes and oregano, and simmer for 8 minutes
Step 5
Add the cooked lentils to the sauce, season with salt and pepper
Step 6
Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain, and serve with the sauce
